AI assistance

The AI interview and the model settings.

AI assistance is an add-on that helps you write requirements. It drafts them for you to review; it never saves anything on its own. It is off until a tenant admin switches it on and supplies a model host and key, and it needs the Requirements module. People work with it from the AI interview page, and admins configure it under Admin.

AI assistance

The admin page where AI is configured. It is for tenant admins, and it is off by default.

  1. Tick Switch AI assistance on.
  2. Choose the model host: the Anthropic API, or a UK or EU provider with an OpenAI-compatible endpoint (then enter its https address).
  3. Enter the model name exactly as your provider calls it.
  4. Paste the API key and press Save.

The key is stored encrypted and never shown again; leave the box blank to keep the current one, or tick Remove the saved key. When on, only the engagement title and summary and what the person types are sent to your chosen host. There is a limit on requests per hour to control use.

Request log

Every request to the model is logged: when, who, the purpose, the host and model, how many characters were sent and the outcome. The text itself is not stored.

Use it to check usage, see who is using AI and investigate a failure. The most recent requests are shown first. If it says “No requests yet”, AI has not been used.

Requirements to review

After the assistant answers, the candidate requirements are listed here. Nothing is added until you say so.

  1. Untick any you do not want; Tick all and Untick all appear when there are more than three.
  2. Edit the wording, the source, the type, the priority (MoSCoW) and the acceptance criteria.
  3. Press Add the ticked requirements.

Check each one: suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. Added requirements join the engagement’s list; see Requirements. The count in the heading shows how many are waiting.

AI interview

Starts an AI session for an engagement. Choose the engagement and how you want to work.

  • Interview me: seven short topics (purpose, people, what it must do, quality, data and integrations, constraints, success and priorities), up to three questions each. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and you can skip a topic.
  • Paste a document or list: a MoSCoW document, a plain list, or functional and non-functional lists. Every requirement is found, typed and prioritised for you to check.
  • Extract from meeting notes: paste notes and it picks out the requirements they imply.

Press Start. If you see “AI assistance is not switched on”, ask a tenant admin, who can set it up under AI assistance.

Your earlier conversations

Lists your recent AI sessions, newest first, with the engagement, whether it was an interview or notes, when it was last used and how many requirements are still waiting for review.

Select one to pick up where you left off, or to review and add the requirements it produced. Only your own conversations are shown.

An AI interview

An open session shows the topic steps, the conversation so far and a box for your next answer.

  • Answer briefly; you do not need full sentences.
  • Skip a topic that does not apply.
  • When all topics are done the page says the interview is complete, and the requirements waiting for review appear below.

You can start another conversation for the same engagement at any time. The assistant only suggests: you decide what is added. See Requirements to review.
