Return on investment
Estimate what better architecture governance could return, from your own review load, project rework and reporting effort.
Four places to look.
Review time
Fewer meeting and preparation hours when the board works from one record.
Avoided rework
Duplicate or non-compliant projects caught earlier, before they are built.
Reporting
Less effort assembling governance evidence for audit and assurance.
Consolidation
Licences for tools you can retire.
Estimate your return.
The values shown are an example. Replace them with your own estimates. Every saving percentage is your assumption, not a promise from us.
This is an estimate built only from the figures you enter, and Lintel EA's published starting-from prices excluding VAT. It is not a forecast or a guarantee of savings. Payback is the one-off onboarding cost divided by the annual benefit left after the licence. Benefits are treated as constant each year and are not discounted.
An illustration, not a prediction.
Assume 20 contributors and 3 years. The board holds 48 reviews a year with 8 people each spending 4 hours, at £65 an hour, and you assume 25% of that time is saved: £24,960 a year.
Of 40 projects, 10% have late-found issues costing £15,000 each to fix, and you assume 30% of that is avoided: £18,000. Producing evidence takes 200 hours a year and you assume 40% is saved: £5,200. Retiring a £12,000 tool adds the same again each year.
That is £60,160 a year against a starting-from licence of £22,000 and £20,000 of onboarding: a net return of £94,480 over 3 years, 110% on the cost, with payback in about 6 months. Every input is an assumption chosen for the example. Your result will differ, and the calculator will show it.

A briefing is the quickest way to replace assumptions with your real review load and a quote.
