A dashboard is a page of tiles. Each tile shows a report as a number, a set of bars or a short table. A dashboard can be downloaded as a PowerPoint deck with one slide per tile.
Dashboards is an add-on module and needs the Reports module to be switched on. Everyone with access can read dashboards. Architects create and edit them.
Tiles
Each tile pairs one report with a display style.
- Number shows a single count, for example open risks.
- Bars shows a grouped report as bars. The report must have grouping set, or there is nothing to draw.
- Short table shows the first rows of a list report.
You can have up to 12 tiles. They appear in the order you list them, and each becomes a slide in the PowerPoint download. Build or tune the underlying report in Build a report.
Dashboards
The list of dashboards, with a link to New dashboard for those who can manage them. If none exist, the page says so. A Practice overview example is a good first look at what a dashboard shows.
- Click a dashboard name to open it.
- Press New dashboard to make one.
- Use the link to Reports to see the reports tiles are made from.
Tiles only show data you are allowed to see. A dashboard whose reports are all hidden from you shows nothing.
Build a dashboard
Create or edit a dashboard. Name it, optionally add a description, then choose up to 12 tiles.
- Enter a Name and, if you wish, a Description.
- For each tile row, pick a report and how to Show as: Number, Bars or Short table. Bars need a grouped report.
- Leave a row blank to skip it.
- Press Save.
Editing an existing dashboard has a Delete this dashboard button. Deleting removes the dashboard but not the reports.
A dashboard
The finished page of tiles. Each tile is titled with its report and shows the data as you chose.
- Download PowerPoint produces a deck with one slide per tile, in your organisation’s branding.
- Edit (architects) opens Build a dashboard.
- All dashboards returns to the list.
Figures are live each time the page loads.
